## Unit note (`t`)

Board photo / register notation is **`t`** with context **soy @ 60 lb/bu** (US elevator board language). The source board does **not** print “short ton” or “metric tonne.”

**Working assumption (provisional, not verified):** US short tons (2,000 lb), which is the usual California grain-elevator commercial unit. Soy 60 lb/bu ≈ 33.33 bu per short ton.

**Do not convert** until James confirms short ton vs tonne. Preserve raw `t` in all transcripts.

## Locked board arithmetic (sum only)

`5×3000 + 8×1200 + 9×255 + 3600 + 4350 = 34,845 t` (matches ChatGPT check). Sum verification ≠ source transcription / capacity / placement review.
